Event description

Description

Gaysians is the UK umbrella brand for the British Asian LGBT+ community.

An alliance of activists, artivists, organisations and individuals along with their respective networks. We share a vision to increase visibility of Gaysians, and act as a channel for our collective voices to be heard within the mainstream with progressive, relevant and uplifting narratives.

We will be marching at London Pride 2017 with the largest group of British LGBT+ Asians to date. Gaysians is a welcoming group and open to all partners, friends, relatives and allies. Bring good vibes, wear your best smile and represent to the fullest!

* All participants must register their individual contact details in advance in order to obtain an official parade group wristband.

** Parade group timings and lineup location (once confirmed) will be emailed in advance to all participants.

The Parade provides a platform for every part of London’s LGBT+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, non-binary, asexual, polysexual, genderqueer and gender variant people) to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues, and to campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing. It gives our community a chance to be visible and speak loudly to the rest of the city and beyond about what we have achieved, how far we have come and what is still needed.
