GBV Prevention Resources Showcase – SPYF (Final Day of 16 Days of Action)

Overview

A chance to explore youth-led GBV resources, share good practice and learn how to have confident, safe conversations with young people

Join us at St Paul’s Youth Forum on Tuesday, 10 December, for a relaxed, hands-on session celebrating five years of gender-based violence (GBV) prevention work rooted in our local community.

Over the past half-decade, our young people and youth workers have co-created a diverse collection of tools, films, and resources, all designed to support meaningful and confident conversations about GBV in youth work settings. This includes Geltu!, an award-winning short film that explores transphobic bullying and was created as part of the B4H8 international project alongside youth work colleagues in Take-home

Alongside this, we have locally-developed tools shaped by Provanmill and Blackhill’s young people, plus a range of resources co-created with our European partners to bring wider perspectives into youth work practice.

This informal session is designed for youth workers across Glasgow who want to:

  • Explore practical GBV prevention resources created by young people
  • Learn why all youth workers have a part to play in talking about GBV
  • Build confidence in having safe, trauma-informed conversations
  • Connect, share good practice and pick up ideas to adapt within their own settings
  • Take-home tools they can use right away

Whether you’re brand new to GBV prevention or have years of experience, this is a chance to see what’s possible when community-led youth work and relationship-based practice come together.

We’ll have light refreshments, plenty of time to network, and capacity for as few as 10 people or as many as 100. The atmosphere will be friendly, collaborative and welcoming.

  • CLD practitioners
