Description

This session will explain how to achieve targeted coverage inconsumer media to reach different audiences with your organisation’s strategic priorities in mind – referencing examples of recent features and campaigns and focusing on tactics. Consumer media includes ‘non news’ magazines, online, and broadcast channels that focus on personal issues. Millions of people trust consumermedia and rely on it for keeping informed about issues of importance to them. It is vital government communicators ensure all our media plans address consumer media, as well as mainstream news outlets.

The session will cover:

  • Using insight to target the right consumer media outlets

  • Tactics for achieving coverage in print, broadcast and online

  • Tips for working with feature journalists and consumer outlets

  • Evaluating consumer coverage to ensure objectives are met and learnings shared

  • Examples of recent consumer coverage



You will need to bring both Civil Service pass and another form of picture ID to access the venue. Failure to do so may result in denied access.
