Event description

Description

Join us at this free networking event and take a look at GCSE (9-1) Computer Science qualifications.

At locations across the country, these after school sessions will provide an overview of OCR's specifications and are a great chance for you to meet with your peers, speak with one of our subject specialists about our GCSE Computer Science qualification, and to share tips and thoughts on best practice in the classroom.

Each session will offer you an unmissable blend of learning, inspiration and enjoyment, providing you with ideas to take back to the classroom.

Whilst this event will focus primarily on GCSE 9-1 Computer Science delivery, there will also be an opportunity to raise questions about our other GQ specifications including Entry Level, AS Level and A Level.

There will also be a specific OCR presentation for thought and guidance, along with, hopefully, a teacher-presented topic, highlighting the real life successes and challenges that are being faced within the classroom. If you are a teacher attending and would like to present then please get in touch!

Key topics for the Spring term:

  • Computational Thinking

  • Non examination assessment

  • Sharing teaching experiences and best practice

  • Networking with local schools

Who should attend?

Teacher and/or Head of Department in Computing / Computer Science

Refreshments will be provided.

We look forward to meeting with you in the Summer term.

Best wishes
