Event description

Description

In collaboration with the Migration Museum Project, OCR invites you to attend a free teacher workshop for anyone teaching OCR's GCSE migration options, or any teachers interested in offering these options. This twilight session will run from 4.00-6.00pm and include three elements:

  • 4.00pm: Arrival and from 4.15pm a guided tour of the Migration Museum Project's new exhibition on turning points in migration history
  • 4.30pm: A workshop led by leading textbook author and migration expert, Martin Spafford
  • 5.30pm: A Q&A session with an OCR Subject Advisor on the assessment of the migration topics in the new GCSEs, with the session finishing at 6.00pm.

We will also be reminding delegates about the competition we are running for all students studying either of these options, with updates on the prizes and the timelines for submission of entries.

For further information about how to get to the Migration Museum Project's new site in Lambeth, please contact Liberty Melly at liberty@migrationmuseum.org and for any questions about the new GCSE options please contact history@ocr.org.uk.
