THIS SESSION - COMPARING DIFFERENT TEXTS GCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE We all need some help occasionally especially when learning has been disrupted.

There are four main GCSE exam boards in the UK and although the papers are all slightly different they are assessing the same things. These sessions will show you how to answer the various types of questions on Papers 1 and 2. Each session is booked separately.

Suitable Year 9s and Year 10 sitting GCSEs in 2022 / 2023

Also Suitable for adults sitting the exam or parents or anyone interested. anyone who just wants to have a go.

In the Reading Sessions, you will learn how to analyse text, compare similarities and differences, and look at the tools that writers use.

In the Writing Sessions, you will improve your creative writing to achieve higher marks.

• A 3 hour online live teaching session.

• Sessions cost £20 - that is only £7 an hour.

• You can do just this one session or more.

• Classes will be small between 10 and 15.

• You can ask questions during the session.

• Any text and questions will be shared online.

• All you need is a pen, a notebook, and a smile.

• Easy to follow and hopefully fun.

The tutor has an enhanced DBS, 20 years of teaching experience, and is a University lecturer. She has taught adults and international students.

Please have a laptop as our sessions cannot be done on a phone because you will need to view chunks of texts, stories, and poems and in some sessions, you may need to view exam papers.

Cameras can be kept off if you wish but for you to get the most out of the 3 hours it is good for the tutor to see you, to see if you are struggling or not, enjoying it or not, and because sometimes a bit of smiley encouragement goes a long way.
