This evening course will give you more opportunities in work and education.

About this Event

PLEASE NOTE: This course has not an exact start date confirmed, but will begin early October 2020.

This course will run every Thursday 6-8pm for 30 weeks and is free for those who are aged 18 and over. You will be asked to take an assessment before beginning this course.

You'll learn in a caring environment with an experienced tutor, and will also have access to computing software that enables you to get a better understanding of the topics covered in class.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to analyse situations mathematically and problem solve using maths, algebra, geometry and statistics.

How will I be assessed?

There will be three paper-based exams at the end of the course. In class (during the course), you'll be assessed in a variety of different ways.

What may it lead to?

This qualification will provide you with many career and educational opportunities in your chosen field.

Entry Requirements

You must have GCSE Mathematics at grade D from the last three years. Alternatively, you can take a computer-based assessment before your interview to see if you have the right basic level of mathematics before attempting this demanding course.

Additional Information & Other Costs

The study programme will follow the Edexcel syllabus and will cover the four main elements of mathematics at GCSE including number, algebra, statistics and geometry.
