Overview

In the weeks following the 25th May 2018, the Information Commissioner has seen an increase in the number of complaints to its office, and more breach notifications. It seems many organisations are still struggling to implement a successful compliance program today, 1 Year On. They think they are on the right track but many are inadvertently making mistakes due to widespread misconceptions, and many more are failing to seize huge opportunities presented to by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation. What are they?

In this interactive half day workshop we explore the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Specifically, why the GDPR is not a tick box exercise, why it is crucial to be compliant and remain compliant, why personal information may be the new ‘gold’, what impact a breach will have on you and your company, the role of the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and what are those cyber criminals up to now?
