Description

“Cybersecurity is attracting more attention than ever . . . Successful cyberattacks are becoming more frequent and threatening as adversaries become more determined, and more sophisticated. It is no wonder that cybersecurity raises important issues for personal privacy and the data protection tools we use to protect it.” Liz Denham, Information Commissioner - CBI Cyber Security Conference on 13th Sept 2017

Rockwey and Dunwell Data Protection invite you to a cyber awareness seminar that will look at your security obligations under the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how to reduce your risk of a cyber-attack.

With cybercrime on the increase it has a significant impact on businesses and individuals affected by it. Criminals are constantly adapting and innovating technology to stay one step ahead of the authorities so now more than ever we must be “cyber vigilant”.

This seminar is ideal for sole traders, sole entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups and those who want to learn more about how to protect their business and data from cybercrime.

You will learn:

  • How to keep personal data safe from the risk of cyber crime
  • What GDPR says about your security of processing obligations
  • What GDPR says you need to do once you’ve discovered a data breach
  • The risks to small business from cyber crime
  • How to combat cybercrime and reduce the risk of attack on your business

Agenda:

10am – Registration (with tea/coffee) & Networking

10.30am – GDPR compliance update – security of processing and data breach handling

11.15am – Cyber security update – risks to small businesses and practical advice to help combat cyber crime
