GDPR and Cyber Security Awareness Training

Why attend?
Cyber-attacks are almost inevitable and, as their threat grows construction companies must ensure they are sufficiently aware of and protected against the threats posed by this digital world.
With the release of GDPR and the EU Networks and Information Systems (NIS) directive the construction industry is now more regulated around data protection and cyber-security than ever before. This GDPR and Cyber-Security awareness session will help you to understand the new regulations in the context of your sector and embrace data protection and cyber security best-practice as a very important aspect of business.

Who should attend?
This awareness training will give anyone in the construction industry a high-level overview of the steps required to maintain GDPR compliance on an on-going basis, as well as an overview of the current cyber threat landscape specific to the construction industry and will provide best-practice recommendations towards safeguarding your organisation against cyber-attacks.
Content includes:

  • Retention and disposal schedules under GDPR
  • Review of risks associated where personal information is held on construction sites and temporary offices
  • Review risks associated with the use of cloud applications to manage projects
  • Overview of cyber threat landscape
  • Password management
