Event description

Description

GDPR requires companies to have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to ensure that data protection is built into their processing activities and business practices.

It’s now a legal requirement to consider data protection and privacy issues upfront in everything you do to help ensure both compliance and accountability. This can include data protection policies, employee training, data protection impact assessments and a register mapping data flows into and out off the business. Where are you on your journey to compliance?

Our 0.5 day training course will focus on the practical steps an SME can take:

  • to inform individuals about the personal data that is processed by the business and why
  • to handle an ICO complaint letter
  • how to respond to a subject access request from an unhappy member or staff/customer
  • when a data breach happens (for example an email with payroll information is sent to the wrong payroll provider) what should you do, who needs to be involved.
  • to manage in the impact of Brexit on your data flows.

At the end of the training course you will leave with processes that you can implement immediately, helping your business demonstrate the GDPR accountability principle.
