Event description

Description

The Hub is proud to announce we will be holding a half-day training event for our members on GDPR in NHS Procurement on 4 May 2018.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new regulation created by the European Union, which is coming in to effect on 25 May 2018. GDPR replaces the EU Data Protection Directive of 1995, focused on keeping businesses transparent and expanding the privacy rights of individuals.

This training session will cover an introduction to GDPR for NHS procurement professionals, how the regulations could affect their day-to-day work and advice on how Trusts can put the regulations into practice.

This session will be led by Barry Moult, who has more than twenty years of experience in NHS Information Governance.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9-9.30am registration

9.30-1pm training session (with refreshment break midway)

1pm sandwich lunch, networking and opportunity to ask Barry questions

This event is currently limited to Hub members. If you are unsure whether your Trust is a member, or have any questions, please contact communications@eoecph.nhs.uk .

If this session is of interest to any other people in your Trust please feel free to forward.
