Event description

Description

The General Data Protection Regulation comes into force in 6 months time. For tech brands in particular, there's a lot you need to be ready for.

But GDPR isn’t simply a box ticking exercise. It will create ripple effects that could fundamentally alter the effectiveness of almost every facet of your marketing plan.

So where's the opportunity?

GDPR could be the best thing that’s ever happened to your marketing department, your business and your career. By being among the fastest and smartest to adapt, you can steal a march on your competitors.

But how do I lead the way?

Join us in London on 18 January for an exclusive tech sector evening of keynote presentations and a panel discussion around turning GDPR into your biggest marketing success of the year. Hosted by twogether and B2B Marketing, this free event is a must-attend for technology marketing leaders.

Agenda

5:30pm – 6:30pm: Registration & Welcome

6:30pm – 6:50pm: Paul Snell - Will GDPR make or break you?

Paul Snell, deputy editor at B2B Marketing and author of 'Getting to grips with GDPR: A B2B marketer's guide', will take you through the latest developments, thinking around, and regulator's approach to the upcoming legislation.

This session will highlight the areas of GDPR that are likely to have the biggest impact on B2B tech marketers – including consent and legitimate interest – what action needs to be taken, and how marketers can ensure they use them as an opportunity to make their reputation rather than break it.

6:50 – 7:10pm: Panel discussion - How to comply and fly in a GDPR world

Joel Harrison, editor-in-chief at B2B Marketing, will quiz our panel of client side B2B marketing leaders on the three burning questions we’re all facing with GDPR:

  • What will it take to adapt to a new age of marketing?
  • Are companies adjusting their budgets in expectation yet?
  • What skills and techniques do tech marketers need to focus on in the leadup to GDPR?

7:10pm – 7:20pm: Michele Reale - Always look on the bright side of life

Michele Reale, media director at twogether, will discuss the things they are looking forward to changing as a result of GDPR, and how you can be at the forefront of these changes by being a more customer-centric organisation.

7:20pm – 8:00pm: Drinks reception
