Marketing and GDPR
Tuesday 10th April 2018
Our first seminar shall focus on the challenges and changes facing those involved in marketing to clients. Just as people start to get to grips with the requirements being introduced by the GDPR, the new ePrivacy Regulation will also bring changes to the way that organisations can use personal data for direct marketing. To fully embrace the GDPR and new ePrivacy Regulation values, organisations may require a cultural change and to accept a shift in power in their customer relationships when it comes to personal data. What many see as a looming burden, should perhaps be seen as an opportunity to increase consumer trust, improve consumer relationships and build on those strengths to your advantage.
In this seminar, we will look at key issues and changes required by the GDPR and new ePrivacy Regulations from a direct marketing perspective.
The User Experience and how to use GDPR to your advantage
Tuesday 24th April 2018
In the second in this series of GDPR events we will be taking a more practical angle and focusing on how the GDPR requirements will affect the user experience and how we interact with customers online. For this breakfast event we are delighted to be joined by Stephen Denning, UX Director at User Vision.
Protecting personal data in the online world poses a number of challenges for organisations and building the trust of customers is key. The new GDPR requirements will force changes to the way that we interact with customers, and the UX team - those tasked with designing the digital interaction with customers - have a huge responsibility in ensuring that data is captured with simplicity, clarity and transparency.
Andy Harris will focus on the GDPR key issues from a digital perspective, including changes required to privacy policies and terms and conditions while Stephen Denning will focus on the practical implications of GDPR from a UX and interaction design perspective.
Beyond GDPR Implementation
Tuesday 8th May 2018
Our final seminar will look to draw together our previous events to explain where things stand from a GDPR perspective now that we are only weeks away from implementation and, perhaps more importantly, what work needs to be done to prepare and what guidance we still require.
The countdown to 25 May has been so long heralded that often it can be seen as a race to compliance on the implementation date. But ultimately GDPR is an evolving creature (not only as more decisions and guidance are issued, but also as your business develops) and meeting its requirements is going to be an ongoing challenge. The aim of our seminar is to help steer you through the sea of regulation and guidance, and provide a clear outlook of what your next steps need to be, both in the final run up to GDPR and beyond.
