GeekGirlMeetup Hackathon with The Giving Lab

Saturday, October 13th from 10:00am - 10:00pm, and Sunday, October 14th from 10:00am - 5:00pm

Lady-hackers--ever considered using your coding skills for a charitable cause? Join us at General Assembly for a hackathon in collaboration with GeekGirlMeetup and The Giving Lab. For two days we will bring together talented women to develop new methods of charitable giving, whether it be fundraising tools, games, or social media apps. The team with the most promising concept will be awarded a cash prize, classes at General Assembly, access to mentors, and a year's free membership to MyNewsDesk.

GeekGirlMeetup is an un-conference for women about web, code & startups, creating new female role models, networks and active knowledge exchange.

The Giving Lab is an initiative by See the Difference which aims to develop new methods of giving to charity. They are supported by NESTA, Comic Relief, The Baring Foundation, Cabinet Ofice, Nominent Trust, Garfield Weston Foundation, Pears Foundation and Seene.
