Event description
Join GEM to talk working with freelancers and building stronger relationships between freelancers and organisations.

About this Event

Are you a freelance practitioner, or a freelance creative working with arts and culture organisations? Do you work with freelancers in your organisation? GEM is hosting an event for freelancers and the museums and galleries that work with them on 4 September, 18:30-20:30, at Camden Arts Centre.

The night will begin with some drinks and nibbles followed by a panel discussion on freelancing in the sector. We’ll aim to continue the discussion that was started during our recent joint #MuseumHour with the Museum Freelance Network on topics such as: wellbeing, rates, branding, connections, working relationships and ethical contracts. The night will end with an informal tour of Camden Arts Centre led by Head of Education, Gemma Wright and a chance to network with colleagues in the sector.

This will also be a great opportunity to talk to GEM about what you need from us going forward! We are currently being funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to create a new vision and business plan. We’ll be there to listen to what you have to say and feeding it into our new developments, making GEM work better for you.

Come along on 4 September by registering for your free ticket via Eventbrite!
