General Assembly presents an intro to Instagram stories and snapchat
Thu 17 November 2016, 18:00 – 20:00 GMT
As two of the fastest-growing social networks of our decade, Instagram and Snapchat have risen to the top of the content food chain. To make matters more interesting, Instagram has just introduced "Stories", which has instantly gone head-to-head with Snapchat.
Snapchat and Instagram are both content and storytelling havens with a community of engaged users, ample features and unique DNA that allows you to creatively share in real time.
In this workshop, social media guru and General Assembly instructor Alison Battisby will offer best practices, strategies and actionable steps to begin leveraging Instagram Stories and Snapchat for your business or even personal life.
Avocado Social was founded in 2014 by Alison Battisby, who had been working as a freelance social media consultant and saw a gap in the market as social media sites gained rapid popularity. Alison wanted to strip down the huge amounts of jargon and conflicting advice, to offer clients the most important social media knowledge to confidently grow their online communities. Alison has delivered expert advice to a range of startups, growing enterprises and global brands. She also teaches a range of social media workshops at General Assembly. She has been involved in some ground-breaking social media projects for brands including Brita, Tesco and Pringles at some top London advertising agencies and through her freelance consultancy. Her favourite colour is green, she’s a yoga fanatic and her guilty pleasure is cheese.
