Based in a stunning new building in the Edinburgh BioQuarter at Little France, the Usher Institute work with people, populations and their data to understand and advance the health of individuals and populations through innovative collaborations in a global community.

Part of the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, the Usher Institute offers significant expertise in health services research, health informatics, data science and social science. Striving for and working towards the data-enabled transformation of health.

At this event to showcase the work of the Usher Institute, members of the General Council will hear from Professor David Argyle, Vice Principal and Head of the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, Professor Cathie Sudlow, Director of the Usher Institute, and Professor Julie Jacko, Chief Academic Officer of the Usher Institute (currently Acting Director of the Usher Institute), as well as some of our other academics who will tell you more about the fascinating work they are leading on, and the difference we make to society.

Refreshments will be available from 4.30pm, with the formal talks commencing at 5.00pm. A networking reception will follow.
