GENERAL DRESSMAKING AND ALTERATIONS (MIXED LEVELS)

This course is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of dressmaking and/or how to alter clothes for fit or to create a new from old garment.
You will learn the basic principles of dressmaking how to use tools, and how to take and use measurements correctly. You will learn how to pin a pattern; how to measure for seam allowance and alterations and how to finish off to high standard. You will use these skills to make a simple garment and/or alter an item clothing.
You will be assessed through a range of tasks and activities. This is a non-accredited course, but on full completion of the course you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
You will preferably have completed the introduction to Using a Sewing machine course or be enrolled on the Introduction to Using a Sewing Machine course or have experience of using a sewing machine.
Course duration: Monday 6.30pm - 8.30pm (10 Weeks)
Course Fee: £100.00
