General intersectional training
Wed 29 March 2017, 13:00 – 16:00 BST
Intersectional people belong simultaneously in more than one disadvantaged group or have more than one protected characteristic. E.g. Bisexual AND African or Transgender AND disabled. We can have unique complex needs and face particular barriers when accessing services. E.g. homophobic interpreters.
This training is about providing services for LGBTI people who also have other protected characteristics which may impact the way they access your service. This interactive half day will explore some of the key issues and look at some practical steps that services can take to better include diverse users.
