Generating income from waste – making the best use of resources in the food industry


UK food and drink producers, manufacturers and retailers are invited to a free half-day event to discover how to generate – or increase – income from unavoidable wastes and by-products. The event, which will be inclusive of a networking lunch and the opportunity to take part in 1-2-1 consultation sessions with WRAP experts, will highlight the tools, resources, funding and support available to help your business get ahead of the game.

For UK food and drink producers, manufacturers and retailers of any size. Specifically, business owners, finance directors, and waste, sustainability and operations managers.

This free event will present a proven methodology and tools that can help your business use the food and drink wastes and by-products that you currently discard to add value to your business.

It will showcase innovative solutions that challenge current thinking, add economic value to existing processes and develop markets for new products and new applications.

It will highlight WRAP’s food waste mapping and valorisation projects using a waste flow mapping methodology, and demonstrate areas with strong opportunities to add value to food wastes.

WRAP is offering the food and drink industry the chance to learn more about these tools and help businesses add value to unavoidable wastes and by-products that are left once prevention, minimisation and re-use actions have been implemented.

There will also be the opportunity to have 1-2-1 meetings with WRAP’s experts to discuss your specific challenges and opportunites to get more value from your food and drink wastes and by-products.
