"Change is Brewing - The Tap Social Story. Creating Inclusive Employment Opportunities for Ex-offenders in the Craft Beer and Hospitality Industry”

The talk will introduce some of the current issues facing the UK’s penal system, in particular the chaotic and overcrowded prison estate, and how the system is badly failing society and former offenders with the lack of opportunities for rehabilitation and effective resettlement.

Paul will explain how these issues motivated him and his co-founders to start Tap Social in 2016, how Tap Social and other organisations like it can make a difference in improving outcomes for ex-offenders through inclusive employment practices, and how success in this area might be measured.
