Description

We are a newly established Next Generation Sequencing and Microarray Facility, within Enabling Technologies, based at the University of Birmingham. On April 4th 2019 we are holding a Spring Forum and would like to invite you to join us for a day of technical and research talks. At the end of the day there will be an opportunity for a tour of our facility.

Learn the theory behind the services we provide, along with researchers who have used Genomics Birmingham to advance their studies. To be part of this event please register below as places are limited!

Lunch will be provided over which time there'll be the opportunity for you to speak to us, as well as Field Application Specialists from Illumina, Nonacus, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, 10X Genomics and Lexogen.

The areas of Genomic technologies we will focus on are:

- Library preparation and Microarrays

- Cell free DNA extraction and library preparation

- Long read sequencing using the MinION

- Single cell sequencing

- Transcript counting RNAseq
