Geoffrey Munn, jewellery specialist from BBC's Antiques Roadshow, is also a veteran mudlark.

Crossing Lambeth Bridge some 20 years ago, he spied a clay pipe on the foreshore below, and, whilst pulling it out of the mud, he immediately realised the Thames was less a river and more an archaeological site. Discoveries of Kangxi porcelain, Bellamine masks and wig curlers soon followed.

However - Geoffrey will explain that the world of art and antiques is an equally beguiling zone, and to make his point, he will present some of the objects he has pulled out of complete obscurity whilst keeping his hands and feet entirely free of mud.
