Georgie Wemyss: Excavating the Global Lives of Indian Seafarers

Georgie Wemyss is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for research on Migration, Refugees and Belonging, based at the University of East London.

During this talk, she will explore the largely hidden stories of seafarers from South Asia who have been working on British-owned ships, crossing borders and arriving in London and other ports across the globe since the seventeenth century.
