Description
As former economic advisor to the Mayor of London and to the Board of Standard Chartered, Gerard Lyons is an expert on the world economy, global financial markets and on economic and regulatory policy, with immense expertise on international banking and investment. Lyons is a widely cited economic forecaster. During his time at DKB in the 1990s he became known as an accurate forecaster of the Japanese economy, and at Standard Chartered was viewed as one of the global experts on emerging economies.
Gerard will speak at the Asia Scotland Institute in November, delivering a talk in Edinburgh and Glasgow, exploring the recent $60bn deal that Britain made with China, and providing greater insight to people in Scotland of the opportunities and threats of Chinese investment.
