Description

The objective of this meetup being organized during the German Blockchain Week 2019 (https://germanblockchainweek.de - October 14th to October 18th) will be to gain an overview on the role of IoT in Blockchain and AI.

Speaker Sebastian Mueller will be sharing his insights on Commerzbank tested blockchain-based machine to machine payments with trucks produced by the firm behind the Mercedes-Benz auto brand, Daimler. Jai Tamhane - MD of Capacilon will be discussing the ethics in Artificial Intelligence and how AIs might differ from humans in certain basic respects relevant to our ethical assessment of them. Lastly, Tony Oehm from AZHOS will be highlighting the need for a fully decentralized peer to peer and secure technology to overcome data privacy and security.

Join our Disrupt Meetup of the Industrie 4.0 & IoT Frankfurt community in Frankfurt. This blockchain meetup discusses the application of blockchain technology in the financial sector, its chances and risks and whether it can provide transparency while simultaneously ensuring the user’s privacy.

Here is the current line-up of the upcoming speakers

1. Jai Tamhane, Managing Director, Capacilon
Jai Tamhane is the Managing Director of Capacilon and has more than 15 years of expertise in the manufacturing field, especially in connectivity and data analysis. He has hands-on expertise in auditing off-track projects and helping them recover by simplifying the landscape and processes. Having studied a Bachelor of Engineering, an Executive MBA and a Master of Money & Finance, Jai has a broad understanding of the implications of IoT at a corporate level. He has the pragmatic critical thinking required to comprehend the fragile ecosystem of technology, processes and people that has evolved in an organisation. He scrutinises new technologies and ignores the hype. He will always ask the question "Why?" and help the customer reach the answer. Engage in a conversation with Jai to see how Capacilon can help you in a balanced approach.

(2) Tony Oehm, Business Development, AZHOS
AZHOS is specialized in developing enterprise focused blockchain solutions to automate supply chain management for the chemical industry.

Tony joined AZHOS over half a year ago and is responsible for the business development and the coordination of the projects.

(3) Sebastian Müller, Project Manager, Commerz Business Consulting
Sebastian Müller works as a project manager digitalisation for Commerz Business Consulting and supports currently Commerzbank’s innovation hub main incubator to drive innovative projects. He is focused on strategic projects to empower the bank for future customer demands and helps to identify and adapt new technologies for various use cases. As a management consultant, he already ran innovative projects in other branches, e.g. for Deutsche Telekom AG.

The liability of the organizer and his agents - with the exception of cases of intent and gross

negligence - is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Should individual provisions of this contract be ineffective or unenforceable or become ineffective or unenforceable after the conclusion of the contract, the validity of the rest of the contract remains unaffected.
