Course Content:

The aim is to learn the basics of everyday communication by focusing on developing core skills such as speaking, reading, listening and writing. Topics for this course will include learning about personal information and introducing others, food and drink, directions, shopping and transport, as well as cultural events taking place throughout the year.

The lessons will provide a variety of activities to suit different styles, always in a dynamic and friendly environment, aiming to give students plenty of opportunities to practise the required skills to communicate in German.

This course is ideal for complete beginners or those with a little basic knowledge of German who’d like to build confidence and start using the language in everyday situations.

What do I need to bring:

Pen and notebook. The tutor will recommend a chosen course book that you may purchase as a study aid.

Further Course Information:

Our language courses begin with Part 1 in the Autumn term (September) and continue across the academic year with *Part 2 in Spring and *Part 3 in Summer. (*subject to sufficient enrolment numbers)

Each term runs for 10 weeks, and learners will need to enrol separately for each part. Enrolment for future terms will open closer to the start dates.
