Germany-Scotland Forum
Date and time
Meet speakers from leading Scottish and German companies and institutions in the fields of green growth, data and digitalisation.
About this event
The Germany-Scotland Forum on Responsible Green Growth will cover top-level climate, trade and investment priorities, as well as environmental social governance. This builds on the success of COP26 in Glasgow, which cast a spotlight on Scotland as a world-class location to inspire companies to adopt green projects and move toward net zero.
Panels will focus on sustainability, hydrogen and renewable energy, as well as a more technology-oriented discussion of how data and digitalisation can empower companies’ journey towards sustainability and process efficiency.
As whisky – Scotland’s most famous product – is leading the way in the reduction of CO2 emissions by powering and heating distilleries through renewable sources and using organic ingredients and low carbon materials, a whisky and gin tasting will highlight products created in Scotland’s greenest distilleries.
The hosts
The Germany-Scotland Forum is hosted by the Scottish Government Hub and Scottish Development International (SDI) in Germany, together with Offenburg University.
SDI is the international arm of Scotland’s economic development agencies. SDI helps Scottish companies develop international trade and advises them on doing business in Germany, as well as supporting German companies that want to set up, invest, conduct research and development or find business and innovation partners in Scotland.
