About this event

Charcoal is a very effective medium for capturing contrasts of light and shade. In this class working from photo images of sunlight through woodland you will learn about different approaches to working with charcoal and erasers to create the impression of light through trees

Charcoal, compressed charcoal and erasers as materials, are forgiving in nature. This workshop will demonstrate how exciting they are to use and working tonally you will find ways of capturing light, of building tonal values and in doing so, you will learn about how to create depth in a convincing way.
