Get Busy at The Hive, a series of one-off workshops, lino print 1 of 2

Working on the general theme of birds, you will design and print a series of single colour images through the exciting process of lino or relief print :-

You will follow a series of stages:

• Create a design from photos of different bird images, working on black cartridge paper and gouache paint. Learn what makes an effective design for the process of relief printing .
• Learn about techniques for transferring and cutting your design onto a lino sheet
• Explore the process of lino print and experiment with creative approaches to print making bird to make your work more personal.

Note that all materials, equipment and imagery will be provided on the day, although you will be invited to bring along an image of a-bird to make your work more personal.
