This workshop will be accessible to beginners but will develop more advanced techniques so will appeal to those with intermediate skills in watercolour

We will cover basic approaches to watercolour painting and explore the effect of a coloured ground rather than traditional white paper.

Traditionally light in watercolour is created using the lightness of the paper however, JMW Turner often used blue paper and body colour to crreate lightness and depth and we will explore similar approaches
