An action packed day! DJing, THE BIG SING, Practical Workshops and Ideas Galore!
We will be joined by our Keynote Speaker - Bridget Whyte, Chief Executive of Music Mark. Bridget will give a presentation "A View from the Podium" - referencing the National Plan for Music Education and the future.
Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.
There will be a variety of workshops and presentations designed for practitioners, including;
Key Stage 2: New Year 3/4 Curriculum with free resources
Key Stage 2: Apps for Primary Music - Find out how the latest Music Apps can help to develop musical understanding
Key Stage 1/2: Composing, Improvising and Assessing - A practical session led by Dr. Ian Shirley
Key Stage 2 and 3: Musical Futures - Just Play - Practically explore this inclusive and innovative approach to curriculum music making
Key Stage 3, 4 + 5: Creating Notes – Enabling Music for All - Find out how the most recent research into participation can be used to improve access to music making for your pupils and how the new Both Sides Now project for young women in music could directly benefit your pupils
Although sessions have been designed for a recommended audience, delegates will be free to choose which workshops to attend on the day.
There will be trade stands from music shops, exam boards, resources and music organisations.
Cost to Sefton, Knowsley and Edsential Schools £10 per delegate.
