Art, pictures and objects are brought to life in this lively, interactive Poetry Performance workshop led by Diana Moore, author of Objects in the Ashmolean, An Art and Poetry Resource.

Age guide: 7 to 11 years

For parents and children. Come and join in, and help to devise short performance pieces using poetry, song, music, dance, drama - and humour.

Diana Moore lives in Oxfordshire. She writes and performs for children and adults. Her work takes her into schools, theatres, residential homes, museums, libraries, business meeting rooms – and book stores. She has two other books published, A Fishy Coat Tale and Other Poems and A Visitor to the Forest.

Examples of Diana’s projects include: The Ashmolean Museum (Runcible Rhymes/Live Fridays/Art & Poetry for Performance/Poetry Tours), the Story Museum (Mr Lear’s Birthday Party), Oxford Central Library (Alice’s Day), Wantage (Not Just) Betjeman Literary Festival (poetry workshops for schools), The Lady Nuffield Home (art and poetry presentations), and a Lottery Funded theatre production at Nordern Farm Centre for the Arts (Words, Wit and Flamingos?) for Adults with Dyslexia.
