Event description

Description

Made for School
The micro:bit was designed as classroom-friendly device from day one. More approachable than just coding, it's a great way to achieve fun, practical results with motivated students. The micro:bit is a credit card sized device that has proven itself as a versatile way to introduce technology to a variety of curricular areas including ICT and STEAM.

In 2016, BBC Micro:bit packs were made freely available to all UK post-primary schools alongside a wealth of educator resources (http://microbit.org/). This workshop will provide an opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on activities and provide participants with the knowledge and resources required to apply the technology in a range of curricular scenarios.

The course is suited to KS3 teachers, technicians and ICT Co-ordinators. It is particularly suited to schools that received a supply of free micro:bit computers.
