The focus of Get Glasgow Moving's second meeting will not be on identifying the problems we experience when using transport in Glasgow, but rather on how we will successfully campaign to eliminate these problems. The aims of the meeting will be to assign roles to activists, produce a timeline of actions to carry out in the run-up to the council elections in May 2017, and to produce a manifesto outlining a timeline of demands that council candidates can sign up to. In the national council elections of 2017, all parties have their eyes on Glasgow as the 'prize' - this puts us in a strong position to negotiate our demands.
If you think you can offer skills, knowledge, experience and most importantly, a 'can-do' attitude, then please join us in our visionary campaign to demand that our elected representatives stop ignoring Glasgow's Transport Crisis and start responding to our great city's transport development needs.
If you feel activism isn't for you, you are still more than welcome attend our Christmas social to celebrate the Glasgow Subway's 120th birthday! More details to follow!
