GET HIRED

Is a great chance for young people to meet employers, experience real interviews and get a job!

On Wednesday 9th August at City Hall come get some front line experience with young people in a high energy, fun filled environment at Get Hired! You could be the final piece in a young person’s journey that helps them secure their positive outcome.

The below roles outline how you can get involved- from as little as one hour or an afternoon. Lunch will be provided on the day for all volunteers as a reward for your time and energy. Places go fast so if you’re free for any of the slots please get a ticket below!

8.30am to 10.00am

Inspired by the Olympics? Then come along and run at Get Hired

Get Hired is moving to a new location and many of our young people will have to adapt their usual journeys to get to us. To ensure they arrive at the right place, we need runners between London Bridge station and City Hall to meet and greet young people and guide them to the venue. They will recognise you in your Prince's Trust t-shirt and you will be their first point of contact to help put those worries and anxious feelings at bay! 

11.30am to 1.00pm

Prime and Prep

We want to make sure our young people are work-ready as soon as they arrive in the morning. We need early

birds with the positive energy to share with our young people so they can land that job! This role

involves registering young people's attendance and making sure they receive their professional badges. You will

also give a warm welcome to the employers and other important stakeholders when allocating their badges as

they arrive and escorting them into the venue.

10.00am to 5.00pm

Keep hydrated

Reliability is the key to this role. You will be kept on your toes, making sure that tables are supplied with enough cups and that water jugs are always topped up to keep the energy going throughout the day. Mingle with young people, volunteers and employers and absorb this inspirational day. This is a great role - especially for anyone who is new to the Trust!

1.00pm to 4.30pm 

Frontline

The afternoon is where you will see the real impact of Get Hired and how much this event helps our young people move forward into a positive outcome. We need support in the holding area to motivate young people as they head to their interviews and to also take control of reimbursing their travel for the day.
