Who we are
The Worker’s Educational Association has been providing
high-quality educational opportunities to communities since
1903. Our vision is for a better world: equal, democratic and
just; through adult education the WEA challenges and inspires
individuals, communities and society.
The WEA Women@Work project aims to dismantle the barriers
women face caused by:
- rural isolation
- poverty
- inequality
And to give women a voice:
- in the home
- at work
- and in the community, both locally and nationally.
We have seven W@W network areas across the Highlands, each
with a local coordinator who organises events in their area.
The seven network areas are:
- Caithness
- Sutherland
- Ross-shire
- Skye & Lochalsh
- Lochaber
- Inverness
- Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey
Our workshops and events are free to attend.
The Women@Work project is funded by the Scottish Government Promoting Equality and Cohesion Fund.
