- Individuals will be asked to join others to form a team.
The workshop organisers will contact registered participants to ask for further information and support their participation, including the creation of teams.
How will it work during the event?
Activity 1: Presentation of challenges
The healthcare proposers provide detailed description of their particular challenge at the beginning of the day. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and to acquire more information during this initial information session.
Activity 2: Brainstorm and proposal of solutions
Subsequently, each innovation team works on a solution for their selected challenge. During the solution ideation process, the healthcare providers as well as technical experts are available for additional questioning, interviews, feedback and review of intermediate drafts of the proposed solution.
Please note that you will not be asked to hack code, but rather propose conceptual solutions to the challenge or showcase your existing technology.
Activity 3: Presentation of solutions and award
At the end of the day, each team presents their solution in plenum, with a short questions & answer session where the healthcare proposers and other stakeholders can inquire about the solution. When finished, the jury retires and decides on the winning solution for each challenge.
The winning solutions are announced in plenum. A networking activity will follow up.
Note: during the day a lunch will be served at no cost.
How will the solutions be evaluated?
The jury will take into account the following criteria:
How relevant is the solution in relation to the proposed challenge? Does the solution address the key aspects of the proposed challenge? Does the solutions and its aspect resonate with key stakeholders?
How innovative is the solution? Does the solution use new technologies, or existing technologies in a smart way? How does the solution compare to other solutions in the market?
Ability to Execute
Can the solution realistically be implemented? What will it the solution cost, and can this be managed by the host institution? Will patient, doctors and other key stakeholders be able and willing to use the solution? Is the solution safe?
There is only space for a limited number of teams per challenge, so you have to register fast to ensure your slot (click on the green button on the top of the page).
