Get Into Growing
Event Information
About this Event
We are so excited to offer this programme in partnership with Thurso Grows!
The dark months of January and February are the best times to start planning for Spring and imagining all the amazing food and fun you can have once the light returns. This course is here to encourage and support new food growers in the Highlands to get to grips with starting and evolving their gardening skills this spring.
The four part programme is free, simple, fun and informative and our aim is to plant a seed – so people feel encouraged and enthused to get into growing! Each topic will be hosted on Saturday mornings at 12pm on Zoom. The sessions run for 45 minutes.
Saturday 23rd Jan – Intro to Veg Growing
Saturday 30th Jan – Tools and Techniques
Saturday 6th Feb – Site Design Choices
Saturday 13th Feb — Seeds and Plant Sourcing
Each session must be booked separately. You can drop in to one, a few or all of them! By registering you will receive the zoom link for the Saturday sessions. The first 50 participant to register will be sent a start up seeds kit from Tamar Organics.
If you're interested in connecting with other home gardeners in the area, join our fun, online gardening community 'My Rainbow Garden' on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/myrainbowgarden
