The i2i Partnership's ‘Get into Teaching’ Information seminar and tour at Bishop Wand C of E School in Sunbury-on-Thames will help you decide if training to teach is for you:

  • We will give you an overview of a career in teaching, explain the different routes to becoming a teacher, the application process, bursaries available and gaining school experience
  • Learn about teacher training with the i2i Teaching Partnership SCITT, our locations across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and West London, and how to apply
  • See a school day in action with a tour of the school and witness how teaching is delivered in the classrooms
  • Speak with representatives from the teaching profession and chat to current trainees to find out the answers to your questions

We look forward to welcoming all those interested in a career as a secondary school teacher including members of the public in other careers, university students, graduates who have not yet settled on a career and to those already working in schools. Please note that in order to train to teach you need to hold a Level 6 Degree.

Inspired? Then come and meet us at Bishop Wand C of E School and find out how our Ofsted outstanding SCITT can support you in gaining your QTS and PGCE.

The i2i SCITT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Welcome to the i2i Teaching Partnership  – an alliance of highly successful secondary schools in Surrey, Hampshire, Middlesex and Berkshire delivering a first class and highly supportive School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme for aspiring secondary school teachers.

The partnership is led by exceptional teachers and leaders who have a passion for the professional development of all those in the teaching profession; from helping Trainees take their first steps in the classroom, to helping nurture school leaders of the future.

Our SCITT programme provides high-quality school led and centre based training, enabling all Trainees to develop into confident and competent professionals.

Our broad network of partnership schools present exciting, varied training possibilities, including four schools with a sixth form and two special needs schools. Our programme will immerse you in a school setting right from the start, offering both QTS and PGCE, and expert Mentors to guide and support you. Employment rates on our programmes are high and career progession and continuing professional development is embedded into our culture.

The Partnership is committed to the principle of ‘continuous reflective practice’; it underpins everything that we do.  The most effective teachers are those who are able to reflect, evaluate and develop their own practice; they seek advice, draw on expertise, are willing to experiment and are not afraid of making mistakes. The children in our schools are not stagnant or stationary; they deserve teachers who are willing to stay abreast of the latest training in order to deliver the high-quality education which every child deserves. Our programme aims to start teachers on this lifelong journey and equip them with the skills, knowledge and resilience needed to become the best teachers they can possibly be.

The i2i SCITT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
