About this event
We're holding a online 'Get Into Teaching' event on Thursday 16th June that allows you to get up close and personal with the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). This event is suited to those who are keen to pursue a graduate entry route into primary or secondary teaching in Scotland.
Our PGDE Course Leader Catherine Whitley will be hosting the event which will provide an insight into our PGDE programme and what you can expect before, during and after the PGDE. It will also give you a chance to speak to the subject leaders , current students and recent graduates and ask questions regarding our entry requirements, start dates, course content, careers service and fees and funding.
The draft programme is:
- 4:00 – 4:10: Welcome
- 4:10 – 4:20: Hear from our Careers team as they provide top tips for your PGDE application
- 4:20 – 4:25: One of our current students shares their experience of the PGDE
- 4:30 – 5:00: An overview of the PGDE programme
- 5:00 – 5:30: Explore your subject of interest with the subject leader (includes Q&A)
