Event description

Description

Free, including a delicious spread of local produce snacks and refreshments

Devon Social Enterprise Network would like to invite Social Entrepreneurs and community activists from across Devon and Somerset to attend this unique networking and “market place” event.

The afternoon will provide an opportunity to meet a range support agencies and funders who can help you to start up or grow your socially enterprising businesses and initiatives. Watch this space for more details of participating agencies and investors!

A special feature of the event will include the launch of the Lottery funded Transform Ageing project's "Innovation Briefs" with the invitation to social entrepreneurs to bid for investment to create solutions to the challenges older people have told us they experience.

Transform Ageing, is a pioneering programme to improve people’s experience of ageing. It has been working in communities across the South West in recent months with the aim of bringing together people in later life, social entrepreneurs and health and social care leaders to define, develop and deliver new solutions that better support the needs and aspirations of our ageing communities.

The project is now at the stage where a set of “Innovation Briefs” have been drawn up which will be promoted at the event along with an invitation to Social Entrepreneurs to respond too and bid for the grant funding available. Come along on the 31st October to hear about the innovative design process that has gotten us to this point, see if you are inspired to think of a creative solution to one of our Innovation Briefs and find out about how to access the funding to transform your idea into reality!
