Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

We are a team of researchers at the Oxford Institute for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR) at Oxford Brookes University and are in the process of setting up a community group to help us influence the health care research carried out in your local area. The health care research may involve working alongside some of the hospitals/ GP practices/other health care providers in Oxfordshire. We would like to invite you to join our group so we can work with you to develop and conduct research projects that are relevant to you and your community.

We are looking for a diverse group of patients, carers or people who use the National Health Service to join our group, to help us develop projects that can make health care more patient-centred. We are interested in talking to people from a wide range of ethnicities, cultures and sexualities, as well as people from under-represented groups such as mental health service users, disabled people and single parents.

This is an informal meeting to discuss how we take our group forward. You do not need to have any research or medical skills knowledge; all you need is some experience of health care service, no matter how big or small!

Light refreshments will be provided.

Please note, you only need to attend one of the "Get Involved in Healthcare Sessions".
