Description

The Great Exhibition of the North is the largest event in England this summer showcasing world-class art, culture, design and innovation from the North. For more information head to the Great Exhbition of the North website.

Booking a visit to the Get North Quayside trail is recommended for KS2 upwards and provides an opportunity to explore Art, Design and Innovation. You will be able to take your children to multiple venues including:

  • Live Garden to see Suspended Island, a new outdoor installation by Jane and Louise Wilson

  • Get North Water Sculpture

  • As well as the opportunity to explore the iconic NewcastleGateshead Quayside and journey over both the Millenium and the Swing Bridge

We offer these slots as an opportunity to schedule your school group in to visit the Exhibition, it is a teacher-led visit that will be supported by a Great Exhibition volunteer (though this cannot be guaranteed)

There are a high level of schools booked into visit the Exhibition each day so it is really important you read the information sheet below to make sure the visit is suitable

Within 3 days of booking, you will receive your personalised itinerary, and by the 11th June you will have received a teacher guide to the trails to support your preparation with pre-visit suggested activities and logistical details for venues.
