YEO Magazine and the Oh Yeah Centre present the second night of GET ON IT, supported by Dubliner Whiskey.
About this event
Opening our second GET ON IT event will be the sweet sounds of pop-noir outfit Dark Tropics who have been smashing the airwaves after the release of their debut album INK, with heavy rotation on BBC Radio 6, Radio 2 and Absolute Radio. Songs about love and heartbreak presented through emotive ballads and pulsing choruses, the group are key members of a new generation of breakthrough acts that you won’t want to miss.
Next up will be Derry singer-songwriter ROE. Expect a powerful performance of impeccably written songs, that should have you either bouncing with energy or waving lighters with your mates around your arms. Her 2020 EP, ‘Things We Don’t Talk About’ was one of our top 5 EPs of the year - which she followed up with a stream of singles in 2021 that we loved just as much. Having already toured most corners of the world and supported the likes of Snow Patrol, we can guarantee a jaw-dropping set of one of the best young artists about.
Finishing off the night with an effortless taste for jams, Belfast based producer and DJ CBAKL will take you on a journey into his extensive record collection of 70’s soul samples and eccentric hip-hop beats. Having just reached 3.5 MILLION streams on his track ‘By The Seaside’ it’s just about right that you come down and bathe in the sweet sonic landscapes of a producer with a golden ear.
