Who is the event for?

Accepted Answer

This event is for organisations who utilise safeguarding checks, including the PVG scheme, for recruitment, placements or volunteering. You do not have to be an organisation or a signatory registered with DS to attend but a basic knowledge of safeguarding practices in Scotland is assumed.

How will the training be delivered?

We don't treat our webinars as lectures or one way conversations. Whilst the content is delivered by a main speaker, we have designed our webinars to be as interactive as possible with questions invited from attendees throughout.

Do I need to prepare in any way?

Accepted Answer

Attendees do not need to prepare in any way as the training has been designed to be delivered interactively on the day with supporting materials shared afterwards. However, we would assume that attendees have a basic knowledge of or background in safeguarding practices in Scotland.

Will this event be recorded?

Accepted Answer

This event will not be recorded. We aim to create an environment where attendees feel comfortable asking questions around potentially sensitive matters and discussing their own experiences around safeguarding and PVG.
