FREE 6 week course beginning Thursday 11th June 2015
A short course for anyone who is interested in volunteering but would like to know more about what is involved and what roles are available in the area. The sessions will be a sociable way to explore local volunteering opportunities, ask questions and find out more before deciding whether you wish to become a volunteer.
11th June: Welcome & Introduction to volunteering and the volunteer role.
18th June: Identifying your skills, experiences and interests.
25th June: Exploring local volunteer roles and how to apply for a role.
2nd July: Meet a Volunteer Manager followed by a Q & A session.
9th July: Exploring volunteer induction, training and ongoing support for different types of volunteer roles.
16th July: Next steps and certificate presentation.
During the course we will support you to identify roles which suit your interests and skills. If you choose to actually apply for a volunteer role during the course we will provide any help you may need with making your application.

The Volunteer Centre at HARCVS is a service provided by the charity HARCVS and specialises in supporting volunteering within the Harrogate District. Our trainers are PTTLS qualified and have extensive experience of delivering training for volunteers and for staff from voluntary, community statutory and faith organisations.
