Bringing together some of the country’s finest writing and publishing professionals, Get Writing is a one-day conference for anyone who loves to write.

With a jam-packed programme of talks, panels, workshops, pitching sessions and one-to-ones where you can pitch your work direct to an agent or editor of your choice, as well as a lively networking lunch and the opportunity to win the Get Writing cup, Get Writing is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the industry’s experts, strengthen your manuscript, and possibly secure a future book deal.

Offering you a sneak preview from over twenty guest speakers, Get Writing will be joined by agents from The Richard Becklow Literary Agecny; Little, Brown, and Curtis Brown. Crime writers, Steph Broadribb and BK Duncan. Journalist and thriller writer, Erin Kelly; Author and script editor, Lucy V Hay; Bestselling historical novelist, Emma Darwin and novelist, scriptwriter, poet and singer/songwriter, AK Benedict. To name just a few.

Now in its ninth year, Get Writing 2017 takes place at Oaklands College, Hatfiled Road, St Albans AL4 0JA.
