Description

"Beverley’s writing group is the highlight of my week. It feels wrong if I ever miss the class, like something’s missing. I immensely look forward to the writing activities that Beverley suggests: they’re creative, and guiding both in my writing and in my life." Delaina Haslem, member of Get Writing and winner of the Sheffield Novel Slam 2017

Are you always saying that this year will be the year that you'll write that novel?

Or that this year, you're going to make time for your own projects?

Perhaps the problem is that you don't know where to start or perhaps you hit a wall and then don't know how to keep going?

Never fear, Get Writing Online is here!

I've been running my Get Writing group in Sheffield for three successful years and have often thought about running an online version for people, like myself, who struggle to get out to groups but who would benefit from being part of a community of writers. So, I've decided to give it a go after Easter.

How will it work?

It's simple.

Each week, I'll send you a batch of writing prompts to get you started with writing and you'll be able to share the results of your endeavours with a closed online group of fellow writers, in your own time and in your own way. The group will be flexible and you can respond to the writing prompts in whatever way that feels natural to you.

You'll also receive regular tips and ideas to remove blocks and keep you motivated that come from my work as a life coach for creative people.

You'll be able to set your own goals, working in your own time and at your own pace but with the support and accountability that comes from working with others.

Suitable for everyone. Whatever stage you're at and whatever genre you're writing in, I guarantee you will benefit.

What are you waiting for. Get Writing now! As Doris Lessing said: "Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible."

(The group will initially run as a pilot project for 5 weeks from 23rd April at a reduced cost of £25 but if it is successful, there will be an option to continue).
